In the history of cartoon department, we examine the evolution of cartoons, caricatures, illustrations, and other similar arts in many different cultures, from historic times up to date.

The objective is broadened, from a historic as well as a theoretic point of view, in the analysis and discussion of the materials and methods that are used throughout various eras as well as other issues that are related with cartoon. What we ask is that the student will acquire the knowledge and experience in order to, with one look, to be able to distinguish the different features of every time period and use them whenever necessary in his work.
